Tibetan Anatomical Paintings
These Tibetan medical tangkas were painted by the Nepalese Tangka artist Romio Shrestha and his Tibetan, Nepalese, and Bhutanese students in Kathmandu, back in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Romio is a pretty remarkable man and along with saying a prayer before each brush stroke he is believed to be the 17th reincarnation of the Tibetan Thanka painter, Arniko. Good stuff eh.
