Simon Pyke/Freeform

I always feel that great sound design(ers) gets a bit overlooked in the big wide world of visual design and i feel and hope thats its not a taboo/generalisation in saying its rare to hear people comment on the sound design for television/motion graphics which is a bit of a shame as theres loads of really cracking stuff out there.

One of my favourite sound designers is Simon Pyke who goes under the name of Freeform who according to his bio spent his youth scouring car boot sales for old music kit to make some fuzzy beats. we like that, and from these humble beginnings has subsequently done work for everyone from nike to the bbc, listening to his stuff you can easily tell why.

Oh, he was also label mates as a kid with sqaurepusher. nice.
