Walking the streets dressed as a court jester way back in 2004 Craig Leonard took it upon himself to rebuild bikes which had been abandoned around the suburbs of downtown Toronoto reviving them back to a rideable state. The project was called ‘a kind jester’ get the whole jester/jesture thing now.. But regardless of the play on words and the outfit both of which truthfully i’m not really a fan, its a really nice idea which i wish people* would expand upon and start interacting with the abandoned bikes littering the streets in most towns/cities.
*I normally hate the idea of people pinching intellectual creative concepts but i feel that the odds of one lone man fixing up abandoned bikes through out the cities of the world is pretty much up there with Santa Claus so i’m going to drop Craig an email and chat to him about the re-vival of the project so watch out forgotten bikes of London recuperate is here!!
